Warrior-Scholar Project (WSP) is a transition program consisting of a series of highly intensive, totally immersive, one- and two-week college-preparatory academic boot camps hosted at America’s top colleges and universities. These boot camps are exclusively for current and former enlisted service members who are intent upon pursuing higher education. With the exception of travel, these courses are offered at no cost to the student-veteran participant.
During the boot camp, highly successful student-veterans, who have transitioned from the military to college and dedicated university tenured faculty, guide WSP participants. The participants are introduced to analytic reading, writing, and other academic and everyday skills crucial to success in higher education, and they also learn about the many challenges that are experienced by student-veterans during their transition from military service to college, including the complex university application and admissions processes.
We offer various courses, mostly including a one-week Liberal Arts model or a two-week Liberal Arts and STEM model which is intended for students interested in science, technology, engineering, or mathematics related degrees. WSP is also piloting a one-week STEM course at MIT and launching a two-week business course at the University of Southern California. Please see our website for the complete list of courses.
The 2019 Application deadline was April 15, 2019, and all available seats for the 2019 Warrior-Scholar Project have been filled. However, we encourage you to complete your application to be placed on our waitlist. We anticipate that some slots will become available throughout the summer. Waitlisted applicants who are not placed in one of our 2019 courses will receive priority consideration for 2020 courses.
